Assistant Bar Manager Job Description
Position: Assistant Bar Manager
Reports to: Bar Manager
Job scope: Assists the Bar Manager to handle the professional and cost effective operation of the Bar department and the care, supervision and discipline of all members of Bar staff
Main tasks:
• Under the direction of the Bar Manager organizes the work schedule for the bar staf
• Ensures that all personnel report for duty on scheduled time
• Monitors crew performance and take corrective actions as required
• Ensures that all personnel follow the hygiene, grooming and uniform guidelines
• Ensures that proper sanitation procedures are in place, and provides appropriate training and guidelines
• Ensures routine cleaning and sanitizing of beverage equipment and glassware
• Liaises with the Restaurant department for the service of wine in the Dining Rooms
• Monitors and records inventory of department’s equipment, consumables and durable ensuring availability of adequate supplies
• Aims to reach effectiveness of operation and provides suggestions to Bar Manager to improve it
